Your presentation at ACORN was amazing. Looking around the room I could see everyone hooked on the words and I just kept thinking, if only we had someone like you to support us during the pandemic. Being in xxx, I know we were really lucky but your words really triggered me because I was a brand new NUM in a role for less than a month before the lockdowns and it was horrendous, with not much support from our executive leaders and a team of 150 nurses and health care assistants looking at us for expertise and assurance. I can’t even imagine what you all faced but I know your team would have been so happy to have you leading, caring and advocating. Anyway thought I would share my positive feedback because I think nurses are great at caring for others but not particularly great at propping up and supporting our own.
