I started my professional career in healthcare/nursing but I was always involved in events on the side as a creative outlet. I am drawn to fast-paced nature of events and eventually I listened to my heart to pursue a career in this area.

What is your greatest professional achievement?

I have always had a passion for the events industry; these range from working on music festivals, planning for weddings and running my own company providing floral arrangements for weddings and corporate events. Then life happened and wouldn’t you know it, before long I had four kids.

ICMI gave me an amazing opportunity as a working mum 6 years ago. I started as an admin assistant and worked my way up to a Senior Contracts and Travel Coordinator. I have now earned the opportunity to be part of the Consulting team where I get to continue my work in an industry that I adore. I have experience working in events from start to finish, large or small. I am really proud to be part of the amazing ICMI team.

What I love about being a part of the ICMI team

ICMI has a real family feeling about it. It’s a big team that brings with it big energy, which I love. Sometimes you have to pinch yourself when you realise you are working with Australia (and the world’s) brightest, most interesting, talented, and amazing speakers and I get to share the experience with my friends/colleagues. Simply put, I love it .

What I like to do on weekends

On the weekends you can find me at home, pottering in my garden with all of my flowers and kids, hitting up the local farmers market, cooking something delish and having a glass of bubbles with my husband.

We were impacted by a COVID-19 outbreak in South Australia that threatened to de-rail our Northern Territory based event, but the ICMI logistics team made it happen when the window of opportunity arose.
