Marise Maechler

The annual Steadfast Convention is the largest Insurance Conference across Australasia. In 2025 over 1800 delegates gathered in Melbourne to hear from the best of the best. They came together to focus on networking, to collaborate and share knowledge. When we started planning who would speak at the breakout sessions for the 2025 Steadfast Convention, we knew that we wanted someone special. We wanted a pioneer, a trailblazer, and an advocate. A special person with lived experience that could describe their professional and personal journey with wit, empathy and humor. Marise did all that and more. In a candid recount we learnt about her story and the many paths that have led to now. Together with Elisa Simpson, the duo gave an informative and entertaining session on how women can regain their financial strength and nuture their own financial wellbeing. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with Marise again in this capacity and I look forward to seeing her on stage again soon.

Marise recently spoke at our 6th Annual Executive Assistant Congress on the somewhat tricky topic, 'Modelling the Future EA'. Her presentation resonated with the audience at all levels, with her delivery being a perfect blend of warmth, humour, depth of knowledge and experience. Marise not only shared thoughtful insights but also made ideas and themes accessible and relatable through real-world examples. Her engaging style, combined with her ability to tailor the message to our delegates, kept everyone engaged from start to finish. In addition to her expertise, Marise brought a unique energy to the stage, seamlessly integrating thought-provoking content with practical takeaways. Her skill in fostering interaction and encouraging active participation elevated the learning experience for all delegates. The feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive, with Marise being described as one of the event’s standout speakers. We wouldn’t hesitate to have Marise present at this event in the future.
